Day 14 - We saw how baby elephants are made?

Today we started off bright at early as we were going to head into Madrid today to go to the Zoo. We had breakfast, got dressed and headed off. To get to the zoo, we had to get our bus to Moncloa, then get the metro to Plaza de Espana and then get another metro to Casa de Campo. Once we got off, there were plenty of signs all over pointing in the direction of the zoo, so thankfully, we did not get lost, yay.
Once we got there, we paid in and at that point, we were both hungry, but neither of us wanted to pay fifteen euro for a sandwich, so we decided to look in other restaurants along the way. We took a look in the gift shop but decided not to buy anything until the end of the day.
We walked around for a long time, looking at dozens of different animals, some of which we've never seen in person before (Bears! Pandas! Koalas!)
One of the funniest and most scarring things that happened that day was during our look at the elephants. They were right in front of us and we were both taken dozens of photos because we were so close to them it was amazing, when all of a sudden, the male elephant stood on his back legs behind a female elephant and tried to... make a baby...

On our way to see a dolphin show, we saw a coffee vending machine, and both of us decided to get one, we obviously, could not read half of what the words said, cause you know, we don't speak Spanish, but we recognized one of them, a good ol' Irish coffee. Now, both of us obviously know that an Irish coffee contains alcohol, but neither of us expected that a coffee from a vending machine would have alcohol in it... It did, and it was delicious.

The dolphin show was amazing, we were both blown away by all the tricks and flips that the dolphins could do.

After the dolphin show, we took really funny, super stupid, touristy photos in a photo booth where your picture was put next to the picture of an animal of your choosing.
Once we got our photos, we went in search of koalas, kangaroos and platypus' (platypi?) We found the kangaroos, and we eventually found the koalas after about forty minutes of looking, but alas, the platypus' were no were to be found.
After this, we went to the aquarium and oh my god, it was incredible, neither Jass or I could get over some of the fish and how amazing it was, it was definitely one of our favorite things that we saw that day.

Overall, it was an amazing day, one of our favourite days that we've had so far.
