The Arrival Reiterated / Expanded - Day 10

The year 8s were less engaged with the book when compared to the 7s. But some of them were very involved and participated in everything.

The ideas were not as varied as yesterday but they were unique in some cases, a few answers we got were the same or similar to the previous day.

The mention of concentration camps, Jerusalem, the second World War and so on.

They made a good effort and in the second class they were the first to try the next exercise we had ready for them.

More of them got involved this time around and it was great to have such an imaginative atmosphere in with them.

The year 7s were not at the same level of energy as yesterday but they were still very interested. Everyone answered at one point or another.

Each group struggled with our question on themes and metaphors but I explained it the best I could and that seemed to help them thankfully.

We told them we would be starting a group story project tomorrow and the year 7s were more excited but neither was put off by the idea.

All four of us went to Madrid today, walked around and went to a few shops. I even found my way to a Spanish comic book shop  while the girls looked in a particularly store. I didn't get anything because it was all in Spanish, but the shop itself was really cool. There are three comic shops in Madrid in total apparently.

Until the next installment.

Here is a section from the comic shop I was in, some very famous and highly praised graphic novels.

These are the answers we got from both years today.
